Dress Code

The reason proper dance apparel must be worn in class is so the teachers, assistants and demonstrators can see body lines correctly. This helps us ensure the instructions that are given are executed properly and movements are performed correctly.

Proper Dance Apparel Includes:

  • Leotards
  • Tights
  • Shorts
  • Capri pants
  • Leggings
  • Tank Tops
  • T-Shirts

Items not permitted:

  • Baggy clothes
  • Long pants
  • Jeans
  • Skirts
  • Street clothes

Dancers not in proper attire will not be allowed to participate in class.

Shoe Requirements for recreational classes:

  • Combination Class: black tap* shoes (buckles or Velcro are preferred) & leather or canvas ballet shoes (any color) are both required
  • Ballet only class: leather or canvas ballet shoes are required (pink for girls and black for boys)
  • Tap only class: black tap* shoes are required
  • Jazz only class: tan jazz shoes are required
  • Hip-Hop only class: black hip-hop shoes are required
  • Lyrical only class: half soles required

We can order any shoe you may need. All shoe orders must be paid prior to the order being placed.

If your child already has tap shoes that tie, they will be allowed to wear them.

We do sell shoes but you are not required to purchase them here.

*The tap shoes should be buckles or Velcro, not having ties saves class time.

* *Shoe requirements for our competition teams are different
